  • Air distribution to the animals immediate environment
  • Drier beds
  • Simple installation
  • Low running costs

The Problem

Cattle Pneumonia is the disease that causes most concern to rearers of calves.

Anything which increases stress or lowers the animals resistance to new infections, such as changes in nutrition, mixing with other stock or poor ventilation can lead to an outbreak.

The Cost

Lost performance is by far the greatest cost of an outbreak of pneumonia .

Typically ..

  • 6% of total costs are accounted for by calf deaths
  • 16% of total costs goes in treatment and vet's bills
  • 78% is lost performance which is never regained
